Ironically, we find the most sure way to intimacy with Presence is through absence. In some mysterious way, Presence arises most purely, not from presence, but absence, and Grace shines to fill emptiness with Grace. Then, we learn we had sought experiences of the Sacred, when what we longed for was the Sacred, and the Sacred opened a way for us through the desert of the Heart. To discover this Intimacy, all our religious and spiritual experiences must be frustrated, for us to find ourselves standing at the door of the Beloved and that One, who appeared to be hidden, already looking with Love upon us. In fact, this Beloved had drawn us unknowingly always to the door. Never again will experiences of the Beloved satisfy us - only the Beloved. We will turn away from experiences and look back into the eyes of this Beloved, this Grace, only. Then, we are able, and relish, to engage fully form as an expression, or sacrament, of the Divine - everything potentially unveils the face of Grace.
Silence! Nothingness - What True Love I see You Are!
There is birdsong only heard in the quiet.
There is beauty only revealed in the dark.
Was not, then, the thirst for Love already the Rivers of Grace moving inside my Heart?
